On September 7, the volunteers of the Kherson Regional Jewish Welfare and Community Center Hesed Shmuel and of the Chabad Jewish Community Center cleaned up the Jewish cemetery located near the village of Geologists. This project is very important for each of us because in such a way we pay tribute to our ancestors.
The dead and the places where they are buried have always been considered as sacred by Jews. That is why volunteers of different ages (aged 15 to 80 years old) gathered together to keep the Jewish cemetery as clean, neat, and tidy as possible. This is one of the most important commandments of the Jewish people.
We would like to thank every person who donated their time and energy to make this happen. Many, many thanks for your help. And, of course, we hope for further cooperation.
